We ARE Being Heard.

WE ARE BEING HEARD!

AMC has contacted one of the creators of the campaign recently, Rachel, to let us know we are being heard.

This is the most exciting moment of this campaign.

We are BEING HEARD everyone. Our voices have reached far and wide.

Here is her summary of the conversation with AMC’s Bruce Turtell:

“He commented on the ketchup smears and said they had been wondering what that meant.

I explained that it was taken from the show and described the circumstance and how we took it as a symbol to focus our efforts.

And then we had a real nice chat. He was a really nice guy and it really sounded like our letters have been received and read and appreciated. He said that Josh Sapan has been receiving them and appreciates the fan support. He said it's been really nice to see the outpouring of support from the fan base and that they've received a lot more this season than last season. 

He told me that he did not have any insight on what the decision would be but said that AMC would be taking everything into consideration and making a decision soon.

I asked him about ratings and my concern that a lot of us who are watching aren't being counted. He confirmed that the live numbers are taken from Neilsen sampling and that the live numbers are important to the network when making a decision about renewal. But he also seemed to indicate that they would be taking everything into consideration when making their decision so I hope that means that all DVR numbers and hopefully our fan campaign support will be factored in as well. 

He also talked about how AMC really likes the show too and has wanted to see it do well and has tried to put as much support behind the show as possible. 

It was fantastic to be able to talk to a representative and have their ear for a few minutes and really feel like, not only I was being heard, but ALL OF US are being heard.

It doesn't mean renewal is certain but our efforts have definitely been noticed and appreciated.” 

In summation, our efforts are being recognized. 

Our letters are being read directly by Josh Sapan himself (who is also a fan of the show and wants it to succeed as much as we do). 

If this doesn’t add fuel to our fire as fans, I honestly don’t know what could.
They are hearing us, they are responding and they are appreciating. 

Rachel: “He said the letters are being sent around the network and they are all read and appreciated and it's nice to know the fans care so much about the show.” 

AMC has yet to make a final decision on renewal so we need to keep acting.
-Sign that petition.

-Keep sending those letters in (please cover the the ketchup stain with wax paper, as Mr. Turtell says it makes it easier for them to open or you don’t have to use ketchup at all).

-Email, if you aren’t able to send a letter.
