Hello
Firefans,
I
apologize for the lag in blog posts, I have been ill as of late, but I am
feeling much better, now for a few updates.
80s Reboot has been so kind to us
throughout this entire #savehcf campaign and
once again did not fail to gather around for support.
They
mentioned us in their podcast for episode 208 “Limbo” with a direct nod to the
campaign and personal shout-outs to the hard work going on.
If
you could head over to their twitter page: @80sReboot give them a follow and
here is a direct link to the podcast itself: https://player.fm/series/80s-reboot-overdrive-podcast/limbo-s2e8-autoexecbat-the-halt-and-catch-fire-podcast
We
are eternally grateful for their continued support. It truly shows how
universal Halt and Catch Fire is and also how far its reach extends.
RATINGS SPIKE: This is phenomenal
news! What a way to get everyone rallied for the season finale. A ratings spike
is a fantastic way to show AMC we mean business. Especially since there is so
much buzz around Episode 209, which aired last Sunday and the season finale
(Heaven is a Place), which some critics have already seen.
From Rachel (because I really don’t think I could have
worded the excitement better myself): Check out #69 on the longer list. We went
from .12 to .19! Those are the live numbers and they went up! That's the
highest it's been since the premiere! If it can grow more for the finale we
might actually have a chance. AMC liked the fact that Turn showed ratings
growth at the end of their season.
For
the record: A tweet from one of the show runners themselves sporting our
#savehcf tag! We are not alone in this fight everyone. Thank you @CCR (Chris
Rogers) for the support.
This
is quite the article written by Henry Hanks for CNN on why we have lost women
in coding over the years. He visited the set of Halt and Catch Fire early on in
filming of season two and was kind enough to share cast photos. It is not only
a great read, but incredibly enlightening. Show some love and support for Henry
by reading and visiting his twitter. He’s been insanely supportive of Halt from
day one.

Thanks
for reading and the continued support.
