What has this show created?

What has this show created?

In one word: LOYALTY

I was inspired by a post I found on tumblr late the other night while chatting with Rachel. I was looking through the #haltandcatchfire tag and found this:

These gifs made me realize something I feel all of us already know. What has this show created? Loyalty.

As you can see from this interview snippet Lee Pace did with Assignment X about season two, this show is more about the connection and interpersonal relationships of people, “less about the machine”.
AX: What would you most like people to know about HALT AND CATCH FIRE going into Season 2?
PACE: That’s a tough one. [laughs] There are so many things. I guess I would want people to be open to the enigma of it, what we’ve talked about, the riddle of it, the connections people make [about whether to be] available to people in their own lives – the troubled relationship with their boss or their strained relationship with their girlfriend, their success when they’ve succeeded. I think that’s really what the show is about; it’s less about the machine.

This, like Cameron’s teddy, we have become loyal fans of this show, of the characters, of their stories, of their passions, their dreams, their strengths and their flaws.

I think this also answers the sought after question- why are we doing this? Well, loyalty.

We are mutiny incarnate. We are the community. We want to see it live.
